The Governor of Florida is full of himself. So much so that DeSantis believes extremism will triumph over liberalism and centrism combined. How else can one explain his continued tilt towards fanatic policies most Americans refuse to accept. As for those who donated the $8.2m to his campaign in the first 24 hours, call them “wishful thinkers”. They are the pawns hoping that if he wins the nomination, then the White House, DeSantis can force down the throats of liberals their style of medievalism. Ban books, ban LGBTQ, ban abortions, and ban black history in classrooms.
As for the billionaires willing to step up, none has yet explained publicly how Ron DeSantis intends to convince most Americans to vote for his extremism. Some are sitting out his campaign because of his abortion policy and banning of books.
For those who see DeSantis as a fiery crackpot they could relate to, they are missing the point of whom he could easily become.
THE MAN IS FULL OF HIMSELF
We suspect that even Ron DeSantis cannot shine a light to the finish line; but because the man is so full of himself, he is relying on pure ego to carry him through. That, or he has a plan he believes will work if only he can address the masses as to the benefits of extremism, which is another way of saying: He is relying on his ego.
The next two to three months are going to be crucial to see if his extremism catches fire beyond the useful wishes of the Evangelical idiots. Will he, for example, poll high numbers in the Latino community? Will he poll sizeable numbers among the independents? Or, will he be able to convince women that his 6-week abortion ban is in their best interests? Now that he entered the ring, polls will be coming out soon.
For those who see DeSantis as a fiery crackpot they could relate to, they are missing the point of whom he could easily become. It’s one thing to prohibit people from learning about the real American history, but it’s quite another to pass one unconstitutional law after another. This is fascism starting to roar.
If we don’t learn about the real Rn DeSantis, we are bound to repeat the 2016 election mistake by electing a dictator with an ego the size of the Hindenburg.
THE DESANTIS SLIPPERY SLOPE
The slippery slope from banning books to banning our freedom of expression is not as steep as everyone thinks. Invariably, some thick-headed monster, with enough power, will convince DeSantis to move closer to authoritarianism to control American politics for good. It is happening as extremist radio talk shows are calling for an American dictator, and there is no better person to wear that skin than Ron DeSantis. The man was born to rule like an insignificant middle eastern dictator.
If we don’t learn about the real Ron DeSantis, we are bound to repeat the 2016 mistake by electing a dictator with an ego the size of the Hindenburg. In the case of DeSantis, we need to burn and crash that ego before it takes off and burns the Constitution.
