Is Murdoch Less Dangerous Than Bin Laden Was?

One attacked the United States, on 9/11, causing the death of over 3,000 Americans, and the other, through his Fox News Network peddling of misinformation and lies caused the COVID death of tens of thousands of Americans. One hurts us on one morning September 11, 2001, and the other has been harming us ever since Donald Trump showed up in 2015. Under these circumstances, the question to ask is quite reasonable: Is Murdoch less dangerous than Bin Laden was? Or his son Lachlan Murdoch now leading Fox in the same direction?

One is an extremist Christian Australian emigre, and the other was an extremist Muslim Saudi and an international terrorist. Who is more dangerous to this country? The one who has been dividing us for seven years running causing an insurrection and the death of countless Americans, or the terrorist who hit two buildings in New York and the Pentagon killing a fraction of the people Murdoch has indirectly caused their death? We can rebuild structures, but how are we going to erase the Trump Fox era from our conscious and our political lives?

So, who is really more dangerous? Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch or Osama bin Laden?

It was imperative to go after Osama Bin Laden whose ideology of extreme Islamism is our arch enemy, but why is Donald Trump still roaming free? Why are we not holding the Murdochs and Fox accountable for breaking this country apart? Is it because they are White Supremacists?

I am just asking.

And how long before the Murdoch family pays for breaking this country apart?

FIFTY YEARS TO ERASE TRUMP FROM THE AMERICAN CONSCIOUS

How long it would take this country to recover from the Trump Fox era and their destructive postures? Even when Donald Trump passes on, his racist legacy of hate will continue to haunt us for the next fifty years. Especially when Fox continues to peddle right-wing lies, which will encourage numerous Republicans who are waiting for Trump to croak to take his place.

Think Ted Kremlin Cruz. Think Josh Fisted Hawley. and think Rand Idiot Paul. And never forget Greg anti-women Abbott or Ron burn-the-books DeSantis. They are all waiting their turn now that Trump developed the whip-the-angry-crowd template to divide Americans. In saying fifty years, we are being overly optimistic.

And how long before the Murdoch family pays for breaking this country apart? Does the First Amendment give a media company the right to destroy the very fabric of this country through culture wars and the peddling of misinformation?

Meanwhile, the U.S. Government must find a way to regulate the outlandish media companies spreading misinformation.

ANOTHER 20 YEARS OF AGONY

Baby boomers and supporters of Donald Trump are dying. It might take another 20 years before their numbers and influence diminish considerably . Many would have offsprings to follow in the same direction (i.e. Lachlan Murdoch), but there are also signs and a welcomed optimism that their Millennial children would turn the page on racism and bigotry.

Something our country is in dire need for this new generation to take over the racist baby boomers one. There is optimism that Trump and Fox may be the last breath of fire for a dying breed of politics the White Supremacists controlled.

Let us hope so. Who would have thought Georgia could elect two Democrats for Senators at the height of Trumpism?

Meanwhile, the U.S. Government must find a way to regulate the outlandish media companies spreading misinformation. Without Fox News, we would not be listening to Marjorie Taylor Greene, Laura Boebert, Mo Brooks, Scott Perry, John Eastman, and the Klansman Tucker Carlson destroy the vestige of our own liberal democracy.

Conservatism is a legitimate ideology, but right-wing buffonesque TV and spreader of lies is a danger to our democracy.

The Murdochs are a danger to our democracy.
