We all know that politicians lie. In fact, that’s what they do best. But there is lying to avoid a political misstep and then there is lying on a scale to build a whole career upon. Senator Kyrsten Sinema loathsome career as the Democrat Senator from Arizona belongs to the latter. The former social worker who ran for the Senate promising to protect and support her impoverished constituents is now openly turning her back on every promise she made. The woman is as immoral as they come.
Her most egregious sin is taking $750,000 in donations from big pharma to kill the Reconciliation Bill, which will bring drug prices down for those most in need. In other words, the very same people she used to serve as a social worker. Mind you, Sinema ran on a platform to contain the rising prices of drugs. She campaigned to make healthcare affordable to her constituents. Instead, the lure of power and money were too much to resist for this corrupt simpleton. She is getting high on money forgetting her roots and her promises.
There is nothing more despicable than someone taking a moral stand on an issue, get voted into office because of it, then abandoning that issue as quickly when they smell money. These breed of people represent the trash of humanity; the scum of the earth.
Heinlein must have met Sinema before he wrote his novel in 1961.
SO EASY TO BUY
Some politicians play hard to buy, and some, like Kyrsten Sinema, simply cannot resist the sound of the cash register and the promises powerful lobbyists make to her. She rose from her humble social work background to the big league in a very short of time. She forgot her people even in less time than it took for the big pharmaceutical companies to entice her with lanes paved with gold if she just forgot all about her promises to lower drug prices for the people in her district.
All it took is probably one phone call for her loathsome behavior.
Stranger in a Strange Land by writing “He’s an honest politician … he remained bought“. Heinlein must have met Sinema before he wrote his novel in 1961.
described a politician in his novelBelow is a video of her voting “No” to increase the minimum wage to $15 dressed in an elementary school outfit when she is almost 50 years old. Is this a giveaway to her state of mind? Watch the gesture she makes when she casts her vote.
Maybe she thinks she is in a Marvel cartoon.
Yes, politicians lie. But when one votes for exactly the opposite of the platform that got them elected by their constituents, that politician becomes intolerably objectionable.
DRUNK ON POWER
Many in Congress have observed her tendencies to sit with powerful men of the GOP only a few years back, as a social worker, she could only watch on TV. From afar. Now, she mingles with the same men and one gets the feeling she is drunk on power. On their power. She is still acting like that social worker living her Cinderella moment while forgetting who voted her into office in the first place.
Come her re-election campaign in 2024, it is highly probable, if she votes with the GOP on the major bills Biden is advancing through the Senate today that the Democratic Party may primary her.
Another reason to kick her out of the Senate is her record of voting 25% for bills that Donald Trump pushed through the Senate. Her loyalty to the GOP agenda, after she campaigned on such social issues as lowering drug prices, is turning her into a vagrant turncoat.

Sinema’s lies and web of deceit have endeared her by her GOP comrades, but it is striking a painful cord to many of those who worked so hard to elect her in 2018 to the U.S. Senate. “Yep. Sinema’s Cratering Back Home” is one article that describes her fallout with her voters. Many more will come in the next two years.
You can only lie so much Kyrsten.
