MAGA Followers Will Never Abandon Trump

The MAGA followers will never abandon Trump, the same way Charles Manson’s own followers never abandoned him after committing his heinous crimes. The same way, most of Jim Jones’ followers never abandoned him after killing Leo Ryan, a sitting U.S. Congressman. Anyone has any hope that the MAGA cult followers will ever turn on Donald Trump should, definitely and most assuredly, lay this foolish idea to rest.

The more the law tries to hold Donald Trump accountable for his crimes, the more his followers will stick by him. That does not mean we should not lock up Trump and all his acolytes who attempted to overturn the election of 2020 after knowing Trump lost it. Just the opposite. Eventually, all the Trump followers will either commit acts of violence, à la January 6, and find themselves in prison, or will simply stop voting out of disgust.

The real prize, which the entire GOP apparatus fears the most, is an apathy reigning over Trump’s supporters if he is convicted and jailed, which might keep them home come election day. The GOP establishment is sweating bullets over that possibility, which is why Donald Trump, if found guilty, must land in prison for the rest of his normal life.

This is the best way to bid Adieu to MAGA and its threat to our democracy.

The only issue standing in the way of achieving this goal [locking Trump up] will be President Biden and/or A.G. Merrick Garland.

KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE

Trump is facing four possibilities of being sentenced to prison. The odds are against him on so many fronts in a way that he will never, even if the public elects him again, could pardon himself or get an out-of-jail free card. This will be the end of American democracy, if we don’t lock him up.

Let us repeat it again. Trump should never be the U.S. President again under any circumstances. Suffice to say that his menacing and threatening mug shot should convince everyone that his intentions against American democracy are sinister.

Let us keep our eyes on the prize, which is to kill the fervor of his supporters. How? By throwing Trump in jail. The man is on a mission to destroy the U.S. Government, and our choice is either him or our own democracy. Honestly, there is no other way to view his threatening mug shot than it is threatening our way of life and freedoms.

Both men [Biden and Garland] have the temperament of a turtle, and both would prefer that difficulties facing them melt away in the middle of the night. On their own.

BIDEN AND GARLAND

The only issue standing in the way of achieving this goal might be President Biden and/or A.G. Merrick Garland. There is a good possibility Biden himself may pardon Trump out of his naïveté that he could swing his followers o support him, or to appease their anger.

Many factors come together to commute a sentence. A.G. Garland may instruct the DOJ to seek no prison term for Trump out of fear that it may divide the country further, which is what Trump is looking for to bounce on Biden and Garland.

We hope we are wrong, but we cannot discount that possibility. Both men have the temperament of a turtle, and both would prefer that difficulties facing them melt away in the middle of the night. On their own.

Their non-confrontational attitude may turn out to be the real killer of American democracy.

Let us hope not. President Biden needs to assure us. Pronto.
