Provide Ukraine With Tactical Nuclear Weapons

After the fall of the Soviet Union, the United States feared rogue elements within the KGB might whisk away its nuclear arsenal for sale on the black market. The U.S. diligently struck an agreement with the government of the newly freed country to denuclearize from its arsenal. At the time, Ukraine boasted, as the front line avant-garde to the Soviet Union empire on its western front, the third largest nuclear arsenal. Today, Ukraine is suffering because it has no preemptive or insurance capabilities it can persuade the criminal Putin from exacting a heavy price on its population. The United States must provide Ukraine with tactical nuclear weapons to become a de facto NATO-aligned front line against a terrorist Russian state.

Such would simply change the equation in favor of Ukraine, and become part of its NATO application. We hope the United States is secretly providing that capability today; or, at least, contemplating and preparing for such an eventuality for a quick deployment one day.

It is not enough to simply fight this war while under the threat and duress of a nuclear attack. Ukraine must be able to defend herself from Putin through other than orthodox means.

THE LAST WE WANT

The last thing the United States needs at this juncture in time is to respond to Putin’s nuclear threats. Such should be relegated to Ukraine leaving the United States out of the equation. Let Putin see the futility of his threats because of the Ukrainian possible response.

Ukraine is, without a doubt, a fully europanized western country the U.S. and Europe must trust to carry its western mantle seriously. Lest the powers in the western world deems such a move is counter-productive to the conduct of war, and postulate a full logical explanation against it, the United States must provide Ukraine with tactical nuclear weapons to address the danger Vladimir Putin represents as he attempts to destroy the world order.

It is not enough to simply fight this war while under the threat and duress of a nuclear attack. Ukraine must be able to defend herself from Putin through other than orthodox means, especially after Putin himself inserted the nuclear equation in the middle of a conventional war. A tactical nuclear arsenal would simply provide that layer of protection to all of Europe as a whole.

As for the danger of such in the hands of possibly revenge-seeking people, we must remember that Pakistan is a nuclear country, yet India is safe. The point is that neither Ukraine, nor Russia, are an island. International pressure points galore dictate the foreign policies of a country as much as it dictates their narrow viewpoints.

There is no happy ending to this war because of the very nature of mass murderers like Putin.

FINISH PUTIN OFF

In the case of nuclear weapon usage, Putin would threaten the very existence of the Russian veto at the United Nations if he acted irresponsibly. Such would finish the country on the world stage and would divide it into a zillion smaller nations. But will this be enough to dissuade the mass murderer from using his nuclear weapons to win him an illegal war?

Putin is finished as the leader of Russia, and it is a question of time before his mistakes catch up to his illegal actions. The problem is that we all want him exiting quietly, not because he used nuclear weapons. To mitigate partially this risk, it would behoove the United States to provide Ukraine with a nuclear arsenal of its own it could threaten Russia with in case Putin goes haywire.

Under these circumstances, much cooler heads would prevail in Russia and we might see the end of Putin on TV the way we saw the end of Moammar al-Qadaffi. In other words, nuclear weapons in Ukraine might just push the war to end sooner than later. Along with Putin himself.

There is no happy ending to this war because of the very nature of mass murderers like Putin. He will not succumb until we push him to the edge. Arming the Ukraine with nuclear capabilities might just be the trigger point to end this war by ending the life of Putin.
