Publish Trump Tax Filings

After SCOTUS cleared the way for the Ways and Means Committee in Congress to have access to Trumps’ taxes, we have yet to hear from the Democrats whose control expires come January 20, 2023 leaving them exactly six weeks to release the taxes to the public. Whether the Democrats will release them or not depends on what the DNC deems more beneficial to its chances of retaining control of the White House in 2024. We say publish Trump tax filings regardless of politics because the American public has the right to know what Donald Trump is hiding.

From the looks of it right now, the more damaging the information the Democrats have in their possession, the less likely they will make that information public. Why shoot down the only candidate President Joe Biden might win against?

Meanwhile, both political parties are playing the public like Mozart plays his harp in his concertos.

In final analysis, imagine how big this hole might look like when Congress fails to name those who funded the January 6 insurrection.

NOT A SOUND ABOUT WHO FINANCED JANUARY 6

The January 6 committee is poised to issue its final report on December 21. Strange date, don’t you think? Just as everyone is busy preparing for the holidays. The committee might as well issue the report midnight December 24 because it will have the same exact impact.

One cannot but wonder what the January 6 committee is trying to hide. For example, the committee promised to disclose the list of donors behind the January 6 insurrection. Something that it had failed to do even though its members had ample time to investigate and report over the last two years. Will the final report have the list tucked away in pages 374-b? Or, will the committee abdicate its duty by keeping mum about the donors who, if the committee does, one would have to assume the donors promised the DNC some money to hide their names.

In law if you tamper with witnesses, you go to jail. In politics, if you tamper with Congress, you get a medal. Any wonder Americans have little respect for Congress that stands at 21%?

Whoever said politics is about the good of one’s country was drunk on rubbing alcohol. It’s all about power and money. Their own.

In final analysis, imagine how big this hole might look like when Congress fails to name those who funded the January 6 insurrection, one of the most momentous events in our history to match Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Ruminate on that for a moment.

Trump tax returns might reflect how the 1% live while the working people sweat blood and tears to survive because of an unfair tax system.

WILL THEY PUBLISH TRUMP TAX FILINGS?

Will Congress publish Donald Trump taxes, or will Congress ignore them until after the Democrats secure another win in 2024? What if, by miracle, Trump wins in 2024 against an aging Biden? Who will take the blame for this faux pas? The IRS Commissioner, or the Sargent-at-Arms in the House of Representatives?

Yes, maybe we are jumping the gun. Yes, the Ways and Means Committee still has six weeks to release them. And no, we are not being unfair based on what the impact of survival in politics might lead some to do. We hope we are wrong, and we hope we can eat our own words in a future Blog once Congress publishes Trump tax filings in their entirety.

It is plenty obvious why this is an important issue. Not only the public has the right to know which foreign nations Donald Trump owes money to, but it is as important to know how much taxes he paid. If true he has paid little or no taxes the last six years, we have the right to revolt against our tax system. Something the rich and powerful might not want to let out of the box.

If Trump paid little taxes, one has to assume that every billionaire paid what he did. Trump tax returns might reflect how the 1% live while the working people sweat blood and tears to survive because of an unfair tax system.

This is why Congress might never release the tax returns.

One would imagine that some Senators, like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, might be pushing for the release of Trump returns. It’s ammunition for those who defend working Americans against a lawless capitalist system running away with the loot for the very few.
