In any society, extreme violence by its citizens is an unacceptable proposition. An abnormal reality, which often ends up breaking down a country and its laws. In the United States, we have reached a point when the GOP is normalizing the abnormal to achieve its sinister goals of a violent white supremacist takeover of the country.
Be it at the legal level when Donald Trump normalizes sexual violence and abuse against women, as he did in his deposition during his trial for sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll, or when Ron DeSantis dehumanizes migrants, which led a sick white supremacist to plow his car into migrant workers killing nine who were in search for a better life. Just like the DeSantis grandparents did when they came to this country as Italian migrants, but who did not have to endure the danger of extremism that DeSantis is preaching today.
The dehumanizing of migrants and women are just the first steps to killing migrants and raping women. Since both groups are vulnerable to violent outbursts, some in the GOP leadership want to submit both to their will knowing that between the decline of the birth rate of white Americans and women coming out to vote in droves, the GOP is using intimidation as a tactic to dilute their future powers in an open democracy.
The Tuberville case makes no sense on the surface unless you start thinking in terms of terrorizing women into submission by normalizing the abnormal.
Why would the GOP want us to live in fear of violence? Because their soldiers, like Tuberville, DeSantis, and Abbott, are telling us to submit, or else.
THE DEHUMANIZATION PRECEDES THE VIOLENCE
DeSantis dehumanized migrant workers, it resulted in the abnormal act of violence against them. And when Donald Trump dehumanizes women in his deposition, many of his followers would think it is OK to rape women. The dehumanizing part always precedes the violent part.
Just like a timely church bell, the GOP, across its many power bases in this country, be it at Congress or Governorship levels, is embracing policies and acts to normalize violence. It’s a deliberate effort to undermine the political rise of everyone who is not a white Christian extremist by brandishing simultaneously their AR-15 and their crosses for total control of our society. The AR-15 is their weapon of choice, and Jesus is their excuse.
In addition to normalizing the abnormal, the GOP is tantalizingly and brazenly trying to control women and their political importance on the stage through another Jesus madness by taking away their abortive rights. All you need is to look how extremists have planted their ideologies in our system to harm women by looking at the insane act of Senator Tommy Tuberville. Openly and without a concern in the world how his fanaticism might impact 50% of our population.
Why would the GOP want us to live in fear of violence? Because their mercenaries, like Trump, Tuberville, DeSantis, and Abbott, are telling us to submit, or else. It’s their road, or the road of violence.
These are our choices today as the country’s mass killings become a national emergency they refuse to tackle, as they turn back the clock of time to medievalism on women’s’ rights, and as they constantly attack migrants to turn their soldiers into killing machines.
