Thirty Days Later Many Questions Remain Unanswered

Today marks one month since former President Donald Trump incited domestic terrorists to storm the Capitol in a defiant political coup to extend, illegally, his rule against everything the U.S. Constitution stood for. Today also marks one month of lack of accountability for Donald Trump for his treasonous act. Thirty days later many questions remain unanswered, which the public has the right to know with a full 9/11-like investigation.

The public has questions about insider complicity, and about those who participated behind the scenes in this act of treason. Further, the public wants to know about what punishment this government is willing to confer upon the culprits regardless of race or religion. This is very important because some of the people who might be investigating the events that led to 1/6 might also be closet supporters of Donald Trump. They represent the justice system that protects our democracy.

It is fair to ask, then, if the foxes are guarding the hens here? Is this why the U.S. Government seems to be reluctant to appoint a commission to look into the events that led to 1/6? So far, it looks that way.

What about those who funded the rally? And those insurrectionists that planned the event with help from Congress?

FIRST COMES COMPLICITY

If you have not noticed yet, we have two kinds of complicit behavior. The open complicity, which the likes of Rudy Giuliani and Mo Brooks represent when they participated openly in inciting the terrorists. And then, there is the secret, behind-the-scene complicity, which is the one we urgently needs answers for.

For example, why the Capitol Police neglected to secure the Capitol given that its leadership received timely intelligence about its possible storming? Who gave the orders not to beef up the security with more police? One cannot but imagine that the person most responsible for protecting the Capitol might also be a Trump supporter who conspired to go along with the insurrection. The Capitol Police has no right to hide from the public what went wrong. Down to every communication and order.

The fact that one day after the insurrection, the sergeant-at-arms of both Houses resigned is telling of a much larger picture. One that remains as cloudy and as mysterious thirty days later.

What about those who funded the rally? And those insurrectionists that planned the event with help from Congress? On record, we have one of the leaders of “Stop the Steal” Ali Alexander accuse three hardcore Republicans (Reps. Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Mo Brooks (Ala.) and Paul A. Gosar (Ariz.) of complicity in planning the attack. Why is this story dead all of a sudden? Not one media outlet is seeking answers from the three extremist Congressmen.

Like I said, the people investigating might be of the same mindset of those accused. Hope I am wrong in my thought process. Hope any investigation would be as uncompromising and as transparent as 9/11 was.

A President immunity during office is not a Carte Blanche to kill people. Prosecutors must test presidential immunity in the Supreme Court.

SECOND COMES JUSTICE

If and when the American public has all the answers to their questions, what then? Will justice be blind because most of those complicit are white privileged people? Or will we actually see true justice prevail here? Because so far, and maybe it’s way too early, it seems that apart from some 150 terrorists who stormed the Capitol, probably out of thousands, nobody else seems to have their neck on the chopping block.

People like Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, apart from two high visibility civil lawsuits, seem to have escaped justice. Should we not strip them of their legal license for spreading lies and for filing frivolous lawsuits? Where is the justice system with regard to those two jerks?

Why the three extremist Republican Congressmen are not getting the same scrutiny as that of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene? Should their colleagues not be concerned about the role all three played in fomenting the insurrection? Like I said, thirty days later many questions remain unanswered.

What about the king himself? Not only was he responsible. through deliberate neglect, in causing the death of 400,000 Americans because of his COVID policy response, but he is also responsible for killing six people on January 6. If a mob boss tells his henchmen to go break a restaurant apart and during the melee people die, what do you think the feds would do? A President immunity during office is not a Carte Blanche to kill people. Prosecutors must test presidential immunity in the Supreme Court.

While the media’s attention is focused on the shooting in Parkland, and Jewish lasers, some of those complicit in the insurrection are free to plan a more successful one later.

The people are demanding transparency and accountability. Start delivering, please.
