Apartheid IsraelBy sanctioning the International Criminal Court (ICC), its employees, and even their families, Donald Trump is sliding into a world he does not understand. A world into which the youth has already made up its mind that Israel is on the wrong side of humanity, and that the Palestinians deserve to live like humans. And not get slaughtered like animals by Benjamin Netanyahu with full support from the United States.
What impact this will have on Trump’s glove off policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing will surely isolate the United States further around the world. But also it will invigorate a world movement that refuses to bow down to Israeli terror. The more extreme Trump becomes, as he seems to be firmly in the grip of the Jewish billionaires in the U.S., the more extreme will become the movement for the liberation of Palestine. And out of this extremism, Israel will eventually pay the ultimate price as counter political, economic, and cultural forces begin to impact its very existence.
And let us not talk about antisemitism with Trump swaying his sword of fire to protect an illegitimate government whose existence most of the world refuses to accept. Palestinians may have not been able to free Gaza, but Gaza freed the world from Israeli vile true nature.
So, what, say the critics, if the youth in America and around the globe stand against the United States today. How could they stop the immense machine of violence the U.S. perpetrates for Israel? Let them protest to eternity, say the pundits. Fighter jets will win every time.
After all, the rudder of free thought and free action is small, and the ship spreading false narratives is humongous.
THEY CAN PROTEST UNTIL ETERNITY
The problem with such logic underscores how the passage of time on civilizational conduct and behavior can redirect resources and people towards a more weighted median of what is acceptable and what is not. We can highlight one good example by the fact that non-brainwashed Gen Z protesters today will become the political and economic leaders of tomorrow; and no matter how hard Israel and the U.S. work on banning free speech (i.e., TikTok), that generation cannot unsee what Israel did in Gaza.
No Hasbara is going to corral the youth back into the fold of the uninformed and the ignorant. Furthermore, looking at generations to come, who will influence the thoughts of the Gen Z children but their parents?
So, yes, Israel’s future is bleaker than old politicians seem to grasp. Moreover, Trump ignoring international laws by calling for the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians is not sitting well with most of the countries and people around the world. Eventually, it will be Israel that will pay the heavy price for pretending it is on the right side of history.
We are not saying this will happen tomorrow. After all, the rudder of free thought and free action is small, and the ship spreading false narratives is humongous. But that rudder is turning, and not Trump or anyone else can stop it. Certainly not when a felon sitting next to a war criminal conspire to forcibly remove 2 million people from their lands, so openly and so publicly.
