US Cyber Defenses Should Switch Off the Lights in Moscow

When Donald Trump lost the elections, his mentor and capacitor Vladimir Putin lost his credibility. Ever since, Russian hackers, fully protected by the Russian state, have been on a rip successfully hacking into our gas pipelines, hospitals, and meat plants to disrupt our economy. This is a Putin proxy war on America that we should respond to in the most convincing of ways. Our US cyber defenses should switch off the lights in Moscow to send a clear signal to Putin that protecting Russian criminals has consequences.

It can’t get any worse when the level of hacking becomes a national security issue.

Ever since President Obama yielded the Middle East to the Russians, Putin has been a relentless aggressor against this nation. When he does not interfere in our elections, in and by itself a crime we should have already responded to in spades, he is harboring and protecting cyber criminals toying with our infrastructures.

Lights off in Moscow means Putin’s cyber criminals go dark as well.

I say the US cyber defenses should turn off the lights in Moscow. Let the aggressor Putin taste his own blood from a wound of his own making.

BIDEN WAS THERE

There are no excuses President Biden could manifest against a counter-aggressive strategy to put Putin back in his own little shitty bottle. Biden was there when he witnessed the weakness of Barack Obama in responding to the aggressive behavior of our enemies, which can be summarized in a “duck and run” presidency. We duck, it’s a Putin uppercut. We run, the wolf will haunt us. It’s that simple.

Our country has been avoiding the bully Putin for over 11 years now (Ever since he invaded Syria). During this time, Putin’s crescendo of malfeasance has not abated or diminished, rather his offensive actions have increased to the point of using the criminal elements he protects in his own country to upset the balance of power using unconventional and brand new methods.

As detailed in an article on NBC News, our Pentagon cyber defense capabilities are impressive enough for Putin to stop his shenanigans. However, some in the Biden Administration remain aloof to the notion that we use our military capabilities in pursuit of criminals,

I don’t believe we should hesitate.

What the criminals target in our country decides that issue. Disrupting our gas supplies is a national security concern, and because the Biden White House did not respond immediately to this attack, the criminals felt emboldened to continue to harm our economy.

I say the US cyber defenses should turn off the lights in Moscow. Let the aggressor Putin taste his own blood from a wound of his own making.
