What is Biden Doing to End Iranian Terror?

According to the Institute for the Study of War and The Guardian, Iran is fully engaged and vested into the war against Ukraine with its use of not only drones, but also Iranian Kurdish operators manning the drone strikes against civilians. With such intelligence, one question pops to mind: What is Biden doing to end Iranian terror? Are we supposed to watch helplessly this country of terrorist Mullahs simply roll over the whole Middle East and now Europe? Or, is the west ready to enter a new phase of commitment for regime change in Iran?

There is no interest or appetite in the U.S. or Europe to start a war against Iran. Not only would such a conflict embolden the Mullahs, but the Iranian public would most likely rally behind the Iranian government. Having said that, there are other options that would tighten the screws on Iran in ways to end their terror activities once and for all.

What would it take to enforce U.S. sanctions against Iran? An army of Marshalls following the parts to their final destinations, vetting acquiring companies and people, and keeping constant track of their use.

FOLLOW THE SENSITIVE PARTS

For one, it seems that the U.S. sanctions against Iran are not working. The Mullahs have been able to circumvent them rather easily judging from the components their drones have been using and originating from the United States. The U.S. must create a federal enforcement entity to follow the parts to their final destination and installations.

Furthermore, the manufacturing of each sensitive component used in missiles and drones should factor in reverse-technology foolproof measures; in addition to inerasable serialized numbering system to trace back the part to its original end-user.

To further send a clear message, we should also enact a law that would hold executives of end-user certificates liable for imprisonment should the U.S. parts suddenly find their way into Iranian drones. What is Biden doing to give our sanctions a wake-up call to states sponsors of terror? We simply do not know. Most likely not much considering his temperament.

The United States has not really been serious about enforcing its sanctions.

A FULL NAVAL BLOCKADE OF HORMUZ

Iran has access to waters through the Strait of Hormuz and the Caspian sea, which is a locked mass of water. The United States should consider a naval blockade of Iran via the Strait of Hormuz. Nothing like blocking economic traffic of goods to submit the terrorist Mullahs to reason. Not only would such dry up oil exports, but it will also ice the Iranian government and its illicit activities across the whole region.

In the Caspian sea, the United States may not have a sensible and effective solution, but suffice to say, it would become dearly expensive for Iran to do business using locked seas and dependence on other countries for its trade.

While the Caspian sea solution is not bulletproof, the oil blockade will force Iran to re-calculate its liberal use of terror as a tool of war and diplomacy.

The United States has not really been serious about enforcing its sanctions. In fact, it’s a make-feel-good gesture to appease the public while our leaders pretend to look strong in the face of danger.

Just drop the act. If Biden wants to enforce our sanctions, he would order the U.S. government to conduct the study and research of what effective measures we might undertake in order to grow our sanctions some sharp teeth.
