Like Trump before him, Ron DeSantis seems to excel at one particular trade of his: How to make enemies fast. Let us count, in this blog, all the enemies Ron DeSantis has forged just in 2023 as he launches his presidential bid. From individuals, to groups, to institutions, DeSantis is a failure on a grand scale America is watching while it unfolds and collapses at the same time.

Let’s look into the groups that DeSantis has already metastasized into anti-DeSantis committed voting blocks, and who will show up in force come November 5, 2024. If he bypasses Donald Trump, which we believe is a high mountain to climb. Yes, even with Trump’s own army of supporters, most of whom will not show up on November 5 if the GOP favors DeSantis over Trump.

Of course, the GOP will have to choose between fearmongering to persuade Trumps’ supporters to vote, or attacking the record of Joe Biden. Both strategies simultaneously dilute both messages.

Besides that eye-opening reality, anyone who believes that Ron DeSantis is going to walk away with the nomination without Trump putting up a dirty fight has not read a newspaper or been online in the last 7 years.

Corporate America: The GOP is attacking capitalism in shocking ways as companies, like Disney, Bud Light, and Target lose money because of the GOP war on the LGBTQ voters. How will DeSantis war on Disney impact corporate support is yet unknown. Needless to say, that, closer to election time, Disney will have a surprise or two for DeSantis. In fact, DeSantis is raking in enemies like a gardener rakes dead leaves.

Millions of Independents: Most voters who sit in the middle will not vote for DeSantis extremism, no matter the GOP spin to attract their votes. This goes against the very essence of centrism and moderation. Expect that group to voice its concern against DeSantis fanatic policies by voting in droves.

Ron DeSantis is a man with zero social skills to be able to reach the finish line triumphantly.
