America has Become a Police Apartheid State

Every discernibly vile police states around the world have one thing in common: They want people to ignore their trespasses. Police states stifle the liberties to reform the government, or to overthrow it in extreme cases. In our case, America has become a Police Apartheid State with trigger-happy law enforcement agencies. Why? It is the White Supremacists message to reinforce the notion for whom the system works in our country.

The deliberate killing of George Floyd, and so many other black people remind us of South Africa in the eighties. They both represent acts of abhorrent racism. However, to others, it also projects a more sinister image of a police state willing to kill an innocent civilian on the spot. In daylight and while people are watching and even filming the murder act. This is not an accident, but rather a policy of unleashing law enforcement against the civilian population. All the white youths demonstrating in the streets in late May and early June of 2020 saw themselves in Floyd’s shoes. They saw a runaway police force carrying out the policies of a police state the Police Unions stand behind.

Many refuse to see the real truth as reflected by the mirrors we witness in our society on a daily basis. That refusal to see what we have become is fueling the very disease we are facing in the Police Apartheid State we see reflected today.

So unless the new Biden Administration addresses this problem heads-on by dismantling every Police Union in this country that have become a hotbed of racism and White Supremacy, it matters little that Trump is no longer President.

OPPRESSION DIVERTS OUR ATTENTION

Oppression, be it slight or extreme, diverts our attention away from the real problems facing our nation, while it sends a signal that the state is willing to go the distance to stifle our constitutional rights. Watching National Guard helicopters disperse peaceful demonstrators during the President Bible’s photo-op opened the public’s eyes to what awaits them should they decide to exercise their rights as citizens.

Grant you that many decried the attempt. But the fact it happened on U.S. soil to peaceful Americans protesting in front of the White House sends a very clear message. Our government has reached a point when it does not tolerate us questioning our leaders or politicians. It is, in fact, a thick layer of fog whose aim is to protect the extreme capitalists running this country. The very people who decide the direction of the country at every level.

So unless the new Biden Administration addresses this problem heads-on by dismantling every Police Union in this country that have become a hotbed of racism and White Supremacy, it matters little that Trump is no longer President. The same policies he empowered by admonishing law and order continue to prevail. Our democracy can only stretch so much before it breaks under its own weight.

Honestly, not much has changed since we fired the racist-in-chief Donald Trump from holding the Office. And even though it has been less than three months since the new President has been inaugurated, there are very few signs that the Police Apartheid State we created through neglect is anywhere close to ending the habit of killing a black man walking our streets.

Dismantle the Police Unions and start all over. Only independent civilian commissions should have the rights to administer justice against brutality in police departments gone astray.

THE KILLINGS KEEP HAPPENING

To eradicate police brutality, we must dismantle the Police Unions. Their influence over police departments is far more lethal than one can imagine. They decide who gets hired, fired, or punished on the basis of a bargaining agreement fraught with mafia-like practices.

To get a sense how much power these hotbeds of white supremacy yield, read the first paragraph from an article Kim Barker, Michael H. Keller and

It took Portland, Ore., almost $1 million in legal fees, efforts by two mayors and a police chief, and years of battle with the police union to defend the firing of Officer Ron Frashour — only to have to bring him back. Today, the veteran white officer, who shot an unarmed Black man in the back a decade ago, is still on the force. The New York Times - Kim Barker, Michael H. Keller and Steve Eder 12/22/2020

So while the Biden Administration and Speaker Nancy Pelosi can pat themselves on the back for their new passed Police Reform Bill, it hardly goes the distance to remedy the problem. America remains an invisible, unmentionable Police Apartheid State with all its glorious accoutrements on display every time a white police officer approaches a black man with the intent of finding a way to end his life.

Dismantle the Police Unions and start all over. Only independent civilian commissions should have the rights to administer justice against brutality in police departments gone astray.
