Charge Senator Josh Hawley and Senator Ted Cruz With Treason

To save our democracy, Congress must charge Senator Josh Hawley and Senator Ted Cruz with treason for “levying war” against the U.S. Government by perpetuating lies that resulted in the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021. When a Senator is culpable of encouraging action to derail Congress from carrying out its constitutional duties, he is “levying a war” on their own government.

Especially because Congress duty on that day was to certify the election of a new President.

The United States Constitution is clear on how and under what circumstances a person can be charged with treason. It defines one type of treason as “giving [our enemies} aid and comfort”, while it defines another as “levying war” against the United States of America. The Constitution spells them out clearly in Article III, Section 3.

If Congress fails in its duties to censure and indict the two Senators, whose actions led to domestic terror, we are opening the door for White Supremacists to try and overthrow the U.S. Government again.

it is not hard to see that their [Cruz & Hawley] mix of callous opportunism and reckless ambition is dangerous to our Republic.

SUPREME COURT INTERPRETATION

Such action might lead the U.S. Supreme Court to weigh-in on the validity of Congress indictment, and we should welcome the Court’s modern interpretation given the diversity of our voters today impacting elections like never before.

In 1807, the Supreme Court heard the case of Bollman vs. Swarthout in which it narrowly defined what constitutes a treason against two top aides to Vice-President Aaron Burr who attempted to overthrow the U.S. Government in New Orleans. While SCOTUS discharged both of any culpability, time has come to test the Court’s interpretation again in light of the events that led Donald Trump to try and steal the elections of 2020.

We are living in dangerous times, and the Court has a role in protecting our democracy by severely punishing acts of sedition by sitting Members of the Senate.

Without such a test, there are many who vie to control the 75 million Trump voters. Anyway they can to include more acts of insurrection against the U.S. Government. Their fevered ambitions blind their moral and ethical values. If Congress does not put them on notice now, others will, down the road, try again. Like Trump, they cannot help themselves. In fact, it is not hard to see that their mix of callous opportunism and reckless ambition is dangerous to our Republic.

I say the burden is on our business leaders and the Hedge Funds managers to end the political careers of these miscreant politicians haphazardly favoring chaos over stability.

EMPTY CONGRESS OF OPPORTUNISTIC TRUMPISTS

Businesses and individuals who fund House and Senate campaigns, on a large scale, need to empty Congress of opportunistic Trumpists who are playing a role in dividing our country by promoting an alternative political reality. Let us start by starving the 140 Members of Congress and some 13 Senators who chose to ignore reality and become complicit in perpetuating dangerous lies of any funds for re-election.

How does any politically active corporation or business justify that a split America helps economic prosperity? How can business leaders justify that the political tensions that led to the domestic terror of January 6, 2021 help our robust economy to stay the course? In all of this chaos, the infliction point is always within reach.

I say the burden is on our business leaders and the Hedge Funds managers o end the political careers of these miscreant politicians haphazardly favoring chaos over stability. Who is to say, even though January 6 did not impact the stock market, that further erosion of trust or further divisions, which might turn more violent, could not have disastrous economic consequences? Is anyone willing to take this needless risk?

I call on all of them to act to save America.

Let us empty both Houses of Representatives of all those who are dividing America through their idiotic actions. And along the way, we might also get a bonus: Diminishing the powers of White Supremacists intent on sowing anarchy.

Americans need to eradicate Trumpism sooner than later.
