Illogical Stubbornness of Joe Manchin May Indicate Extortion

Many have questioned what makes Joe Manchin, the Democrat Senator from West Virginia, tick. To this day, he still refuses to support bills the Democrats in Congress are advancing that his constituents overwhelmingly support (Watch the video of Rachel Maddow below). What is the mystery behind refusing to support a bill that 79% of his voters support? What are his motivations? In brief, the illogical stubbornness of Joe Manchin shows someone, on the other side of the isle, has something on him that could kill his career, or possibly land him in jail.

There is no other explanation for his refusal to vote for a law 79% of his West Virginia voters want to pass. Not even special interest money hold on him when his voters support the bills he is refusing to back.

Is it possible that Mitch McConnell has a video of sort that Joe Manchin fears its publicity? Did Joe Manchin do something so utterly illegal or evil that he is scared to death from the Republicans who know about his deeds? When the illogical stubbornness of Joe Manchin challenges our judgment and makes the whole country ponder what gives, it is normal for some of us to consider some sinister scenarios for his absurd and irrational behavior.

It’s human nature, but more importantly, it is quite possible in today’s acrimonious environment.

Remember, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

So, what is it that the Republicans have on Joe Manchin to make him their Trojan Horse?

WHAT TERRIBLE THING DID JOE MANCHIN DO?

When you witness the corruption of so many lawmakers on the hill, you cannot exclude anyone from that sphere of illegality. Not Joe Manchin, and not Matt Gaetz accused of sex trafficking.

So, what is it that the Republicans have on Joe Manchin to make him their Trojan Horse? It is not hard to list some of the most outrageous things humans are capable of to get a sense of why Joe Manchin is standing his ground against his country, his party, and his voters. But, I will leave it to others to contribute their thoughts to this evil exercise.

If Joe Manchin has done something terrible the Republicans hold against him like a Damocles Sword, it goes without saying that the Democrats, if they know about it too, are incapable of coming to his rescue. Especially if it is something terrible their voters would definitely not forgive the Party for trying any exoneration effort.

I just don’t see any other explanation for Joe Manchin’s behavior. Not even special interests money drying up on him if his constituents support vigorously the bills he is refusing to vote for.

The thing that is so disturbing, as you watch the video, is that Manchin gave no logical reason for not supporting the For the People Act except to say that his fellow Republicans oppose it. That, to me, sounds like subservience. Maybe the result of some heinous extortion scheme.

If Joe Manchin is unwilling to vote for any Democratic bills, we might as well have a Republican in his seat. It’s all the same, but at least we get rid of another corrupt politician who has no business being a Senator.

EXTORTION IS A GAME THE GOP WILL PLAY

Those good old days of outstanding politicians honoring their words and acting with dignity and valor are long gone in American politics. In their place, we find some of the most cowardly and abhorring human beings running our government. Not all, of course, but many more than we think.

These people are capable of everything to include breaking the laws and flaunting their power to win over their opponents. Extortion among dishonorable men is more prevalent than we might believe. Look how Donald Trump tried to extort the President of Ukraine for the country to investigate Joe Biden.

Given that scenario, do we really believe that Mitch McConnell might not use the same tactic against his opponents? Especially those with powers to pass bills he stands against?

It is certainly not out of the question.

Maybe couple of investigative journalists could take it upon themselves to dig deeper into this matter. If Joe Manchin is unwilling to vote for any Democratic bills, we might as well have a Republican in his seat. It’s all the same, but at least we get rid of another corrupt politician who has no business being a Senator.
