In the eyes of the confederates, they have never forgotten, or forgiven, the U.S. military’s defeat on the battlefields during the civil war. A military, which today, boasts more black leaders than probably at any time in our history. This is not sitting well with the south, and it is obvious that Senator Tuberville mission to break the US military harbors the malcontent of his ancestors’ defeat on the battlefields in 1861-65. In addition, to the hatred he nurses for the rise of black leaders in the military.
To prove that latter point, besides Lloyd Austin, our Secretary of Defense, there are 17 other black high officers leading our military, to include Marcia M. Anderson, our first African American Major General woman. In the mind of Tommy Tuberville, these people do not deserve to lead, and this explains his continued attempt at breaking the military’s back. Any other excuse is just that. Tuberville’s racism and hatred are driving the blockade against military promotions and nominations.
It’s the kind of racism we are witnessing in Florida as well under Governor Ron DeSantis. His administration believes slavery was a job fair in disguise.
Tommy Tuberville grew up in a world that does not accept black people as equals, or deserving of the same rights.
OLD WHITE MEN OF THE WORST GENERATION
When it comes to co-existence as equals for black America, the baby boomer generation born after WWII in the south is really the worst of the worst. They grew up in the segregated world of the 60s their parents, we call the greatest generation, built for them. A world full of hatred and bigotry.
Tommy Tuberville grew up in a world that does not accept black people as equals, or deserving of the same rights. That’s an Alabamian fact. Once baked into your upbringing, it is hard later in life to shed such notions. They stay with you for the rest of your existence.
Tuberville believes only southern white men should lead the military. His unreasonable blockade is a manifestation of his activism against black America. As well, against what he perceives as a new US military objectionable to his sense of right and wrong. This is a military that will not stand by his ideology if there is another insurrection.
Our military deserves better than Senator Turberville, a football coach who knows little about politics but much about racial divide in the south, and who is harming its readiness to protect the homeland. We must either change the Senate rules, or barring that possibility, cauterize the possibility of his reelection to the Senate. Dig deep in his skeleton closet, please.
Racist Senator Tommy Tuberville needs to retire back to Alabama. The same State that tried twice to deny black Alabamians the right for equal representation.
