Suddenly, media influencers and alt-right politicians are starting to advocate for their supporters to vaccinate. This unexpected U-Turn is the result of the culture war, which they have been fostering, and which may come back to haunt them in more ways than expected. Not only because the U.S. economy may stutter and stall if too many people suddenly get infected, but also because 99% of those dying from COVID have refused to inoculate themselves. The unvaccinated are thinning the GOP herd politically, socially, and possibly soon economically if the U.S. COVID infections rates keep rising.
As of July 23, 2021 there have been 64,317 new COVID cases as compared to the low this year of 9,218, which took place on June 20, 2021. COVID killed 428 Americans on July 23, which may not sound a lot, but if the trend continues, the GOP might lose up to 200,844 voters (99%) by the time the mid-term elections roll around on November 8, 2022.
Of course it could be much worse because this prediction is unscientific.
You think vaccinations take your freedom, then roll the dice and wait for COVID to possibly take your life
TRUMP SUPPORTERS AND DARWIN
For those who are familiar with Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, they can find parallels between those who refuse to vaccinate themselves and the Natural Selection Theory. Lacking any common sense in the face of a deadly pandemic. the Trump supporters that Fox News has encouraged to select “freedom” over vaccination are thinning the herd and departing the planet earlier than expected. Hopefully, they will make room for people with better judgment.
I am not saying this to insult the Trump supporters or those who believe in wild conspiracies. Simply, I am just stating a fact here. You don’t believe in sciences, then Darwin has your number. You think vaccinations take your freedom, then roll the dice and wait for COVID to possibly take your life. There is no room for “ifs” and “buts” here. If you are not smart enough to know what is good for you, then this planet has no use for you.
And if you are one of the 20% of Americans who believe the government is planting microchips under your skin, then we definitely need you gone. You have become a useless idiot.
For those who don’t trust their own government and suspect malfeasance, it is notable to mention that conspiracies beyond a certain small number of people never survive the truth. Have you asked yourself the question: If we did not land on the moon, how come no one of the 375,000 employees who worked at NASA never blew the whistle? It’s impossible to keep a secret among two people let alone thousands. The same applies to vaccines. No way in hell, if the vaccine is definitely harmful to so many, Pfizer or Moderna could survive the scientific world scrutiny.
True that the vaccines may not be as effective as both companies claimed by few percentage points, but neither company is injecting microchips into your blood stream for the government to monitor you. All the government has to do is buy your information from private companies that monitor you heavily through your smart phone.
The GOP has reached a cost-benefit point at which their politicians must decide whether a country deeply divided is worth the harm unvaccinated people could cause to the economy.
CULTURE WAR OR A FALLING ECONOMY?
The GOP has reached a cost-benefit point at which their politicians must decide whether a country deeply divided is worth the harm unvaccinated people could cause to the economy. In one month, COVID cases jumped by almost 55,000 cases a day. At this pace, the President may not have a choice but to shut down parts of the economy, which means another rescue package.
Mitch McConnell et. al., are in the midst of calculating the cost of maintaining Trump’s Big Lie going. Most likely at the expense of the economy since mask wearing and vaccinations are the spear tip of the culture war the Republicans are waging. This explains Shaw Hannity, on Fox, reconsidering his usual message of “freedom”, not vaccinations. On the other hand, the loathsome Tucker Carlson is too dumb to realize the bifurcation the GOP has reached. He remains steadfast in his calls not to vaccinate or wear a mask. Way to go Tucker.
In layman’s terms, the GOP misinformation campaign is thinning the herd of their voters. More are dying everyday, and it seems between this reality and the possibility of falling economy, they have to make a sharp U-turn, which would expose their creative hypocrisy.
Can’t wait to see the 2022 mid-term elections political ads.
