The War For US Munitions

It is a fact that the United States is supplying Ukraine with tons of ammunition the country is using to defend against the aggression of the Putin regime. It is also a fact that the United States is on course to deliver munitions, as well as air defenses, to Israel in light of its war against Hamas and the PIJ. Two simultaneous wars by our allies the United States is backing means that the war for US munitions will only get worse in the near future.

Even if the weapons both Ukraine and Israel are using differ–Ukraine is not using US jet fighters–, nonetheless we believe supply of basic small munitions will be under strain. The supplies of that premium commodity must worry the Pentagon.

In times of war, stockpiling munitions is an absolute necessity even if the munitions remain warehoused.

MOST PLEASING TO RUSSIA AND IRAN

Any pressure on US munitions supplies is most pleasing to both Russia and Iran.

For Russia, it could mean the United States is reaching a high pressure point that politically may not sit well with Ukraine. Between the priority of supporting Ukraine or Israel, Congress will vote for Israeli security every time before it votes for Ukrainian security and needs. Of course, this depends on how long the war may last between Israel and the Gaza Strip. However, we assure our readers that Iran who is backing Hamas is fully aware of the US munitions dilemma if one might exist.

Extending the war between Hamas and Israel might just be the strategic move the Iranian regime is considering in its war outcome calculations as it assists Hamas. Furthermore, if the US is supplying Ukraine with captured Iranian munitions, it may signal the existence of a stress factor on US production levels.

Having said that, such may turn out to be a moot point. Israel does not need anti-tank weapons, or missiles it could fire from a distance, like Ukraine does. But it will need small arms ammunition, as well as more defensive missile systems. Will the needs of Ukraine and Israel clash to create a war for US munitions?

In addition, in times of war, stockpiling munitions is an absolute necessity even if the munitions remain warehoused. That requirement alone may have implications for maintaining steady US supplies.
