Secretly, Republicans voted for Steve Scalise (R-LA) to become their next Speaker of the House by a margin of 113 to 99. A public vote could come as early as Wednesday, when the world might watch Trump torpedo Scalise because he already backed Jim Jordan for the same job. Or, he might, in the last minute, switch his support to Scalise to look like a winner–we all know Donald Trump by now.
Regardless of who wins the nomination, the extreme MAGA Republicans have yet to rear their ugly heads in support of any Speaker who will not tow their line. Few extremists and fanatical Republicans, like Matt Gaetz, still control the fate of Congress. Believe it, or not.
What is the point of this blog? The Republican high drama is still not over. Even as Israel suffers the consequences of a terrorist attack by Hamas.
Will it be Jordan or Scalise? It all depends on what the Führer might order the crazies in Congress to do. But without forgetting never to miss an opportunity.
WHAT TRUMP MIGHT HAVE UP HIS SLEEVES
Potentially, part of the drama might be over, as Jim Jordan said he will vote for Steve Scalise. But that does not take care of Matt Gaetz and his MAGA sycophants in the Freedom Caucus. In other words, Scalise has yet to overcome the extremists in his party on the floor of the House.
While this is all playing out, bear with us as we play a scenario that might be cooking in Trump’s head if we know the Führer that well.
For all intended purposes, Trump has learned from his racist adviser Stephen Miller that he should never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. As Israel leans on Congress and the White House, Trump, in his sick mind, might be concocting a scheme to force more chaos in the House.
Why? Trump hopes to send a message to the liberal Jews in America that unless they support him with money and votes, he is not going to lift a finger to help Congress solidly stand by Israel. Trump already believes that American Jews are more loyal to Israel than their own country, and has belittled them before for not supporting him as a staunch ally of Israel.
Think again, if you believe Trump is not that sick.
For our decent Republican readers who have long ago discarded Trump, like they would discard a paper kitchen towel, this reality of who Trump truly is stares them in the face. They know, deep down, that this man is capable of anything and everything. Regardless of the harm that he may cause the country.
Will it be Jordan or Scalise? It all depends on what the Führer might order the crazies in Congress to do. But without forgetting never to miss an opportunity.
