Iran announced that Israeli Embassies around the world are no longer safe after Israel, broke all international laws and diplomatic norms, when it attacked the Iranian Consulate in Damascus, which killed two generals and five other military officials. The question is: Which Israeli embassies are fair game? The ones most likely Iran will hit within days to avenge Israeli arrogance and terror.
The likelihood is that Iran would target a standalone embassy further away from other residences or structures. Like the one in Amman, Jordan, within reach of many of the Iranian missiles in the Islamic republic arsenal.
The same cannot be said about the Embassy in Cairo, which is located in very tight quarters, next to an Egyptian government building, as the image below shows.
As for the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco, the range is either too far, or Iran is unwilling to strike two countries it is courting and has established good relations with in the last few years. Unless, Iran uses Tripoli, Libya to launch an attack on the Israeli Embassy in Rabat, Morocco. Not only Iran would demonstrate its reach, but it would catch Israel flat-footed.
The problem is again its location, nestled between commercial and non-commercial quarters in Rabat. Unless Iran uses the more accurate suicide drones.
So far, Amman seems the most plausible Embassy to strike, and we would imagine Israel will keep it closed in the near future.
The one in Kyiv would be most appropriate because Iran would kill two birds with one stone.
IRANIAN MISSILES AND DRONE TECHNOLOGY
Iranian long-range missiles are able to strike targets as far as 2,000 km away, but their accuracy and payload varies at that range. The most their missiles can carry is 1,500 kg of payload, and the most accurate, according to experts, is within 30m of its target.
But then, Iran is improving its missile technology constantly, and those numbers could be much better today. However, Iran’s more accurate missiles are the guided cruise missiles, which have a range of 1,000 km.
Absence the use of missiles, the Iranian suicide drones provide as much capability with much more accuracy and evasion techniques. It is likely Iran would use the Arash series drones, which can carry almost 600 lbs of explosives and can travel over 2,000 km.
Israel cannot keep its embassies shut. It would mean Israel is out of business. Eventually, many Israeli diplomats are going to die very soon because of Netanyahu.
Which Israeli embassies are fair game? All of them to include those based in Europe if Iran launches its drones from Iraq, Syria, or Lebanon.
The one in Kyiv would be most appropriate because Iran would kill two birds with one stone.
