Hardcore Jewish American organizations with hardcore alt-right tendencies are blurring the lines between hate for Jews and the legitimate criticism one might render in the course of a political discussion. These organizations have their little hands in every industry, at every level, and are not afraid to exercise their power to cancel the First Amendment rights of every American. Case in point is when United Talent Agency dropped the Oscar-Winning actor Susan Sarandon from their roster of clients just because she spoke in support of the Palestinians. Folks, criticizing Israel is not antisemitism, yet, many powerful American Jews refuse to accept the U.S. Constitution when it comes to Israel.
In their minds, they believe they can stifle any reasonable or lawful examination of Israel’s actions and to hell with any First Amendment rights. By punishing Sarandon, UTA is sending the signal to other Hollywood actors that speaking your mind is barred. Incidentally, all Sarandon said was that “There are a lot of people afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country.”
We wish Jews did not have to be afraid, but that statement is true.
VICTIM OF AMERICAN JEWISH EXTREMISM
If you think there are no rich American Jewish extremists in this country leading the U.S. policy by the nose, think of the Iraq War. Who do you think instigated that war in order to protect Israel from Saddam Hussein and his ghost WMD?
Today, their target is to blur the line between antisemitism and criticism. Even at the expense of our constitutional rights.
When you read the story of Stuart Seldowitz, an Obama-era high State Department official, one realizes that Sarandon is right. New York arrested Seldowitz, who haunted a Muslim street vendor by telling him he thought “If we killed 4,000 Palestinian children, it was not enough”. It charged him with aggravated harassment, hate crime stalking, stalking causing fear, and stalking at a place of employment.
Seldowitz also threatened to use his contacts with the Egyptian government to have the vendor’s father arrested, and his nails pulled under torture. Just because he was a Muslim who stood for the rights of the Palestinians.
If that is not stifling your First Amendment rights, then nothing else is. Seldowitz represents a small but powerful microcosm of American Jews leading this nation to unnecessary wars to serve the interests of Israel.
Every American has the right to criticize Israel because it is enshrined in their Constitution.
WHERE IS OUR FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHT?
Like we said, blocking criticism of Israel, for many American Jews, is more important than the First Amendment rights. There is no difference between Seldowitz in America, and any Israeli extremist settlers killing Palestinians on the West Bank. If the law permitted it, Seldowitz would have shot the Muslim vendor dead.
Jeremy Zimmer, incidentally, founded UTA. If his name was Mohammad, and he dropped Sarandon as a client, the media, like CNN and FOX News, would go berserk over Mohammad’s daring action. Yet, we picked up that story from al-Jazeera, not CNN, or any other U.S. media outlet. The New York Times, to its credit, did publish the story without mentioning who runs UTA.
Every American has the right to criticize Israel because it is enshrined in their Constitution. What they don’t have the right to do is taunt people who criticize or do not support Israel. Like Seldowitz did to the poor Muslim vendor, or UTA did to Susan Sarandon.
