Dumb as a Door Nail Police Officers

Many in local governments and municipalities across the country believed that in order to stop the bleeding from civil lawsuits payouts generated because of police brutality, they must come down hard on the perpetrators to put on notice violent policemen acting against unarmed innocent Americans, most of them black men. And so they mostly did. But when you read this story about a San Antonio cop shooting an innocent 17-years old ten times in a McDonald’s parking lot, you would know that some thickheaded, dumb as a door nail police officers are not getting the message. Not through firing, or disciplinary action, and not even through jail time.

All they understand is how to violently act even under circumstances that do not warrant more than performing their normal duties. So, go ahead police departments, succumb to your fraternities and keep them on the force. Until one day your local government goes bankrupt because of police action.

The young teen in question did not succumb to his wounds. It won’t be long before we learn that San Antonio has to find few million dollars in its budget to pay the teen and his parents for the stupidity of its police force whose instinct to pull the trigger far outweighs the safety of the community it polices.

Which goes to show us all that police fraternities have become the real problem in America’s policing.

DAMAGED GOODS

Often, communities rely on either war veterans to fill the ranks of police, or on white racist trash ever so eager to wear a badge and a gun to “put the black and brown people in their places”. The results are all before us to witness. This practice of using war veterans continues to augment police violence.

Simone Weichselbaum, of the Marshall Project, cited a study among police officers in Dallas, Texas, which concluded that “officers with military experience were significantly more likely to have discharged their firearm while on duty than cops with no military service.”

Meanwhile, the magazine representing the police fraternities believes they make great police officers. Which goes to show us all that police fraternities have become the real problem in America’s policing. Not only do these hubs of violence insist on keeping brutal police officers on the force — they even defended George Floyd killer publicly — but they also keep recommending the hiring of the mentally-ill and the racists.

They often rely on the support of their fraternities to support their maniacal tendencies.

REVOLVING DOOR OF VIOLENCE

Communities across this land are beginning to catch-up to this revolving door of violence. In the old days, we used to have the KKK. Today, the same racists have all enrolled in police departments. Many are even in Congress. Why lynch and face the law when you can become the law and kill at will?

In short, war veterans are damaged goods. Communities should take care of them medically first and then assist them to fill other positions rather than the ones they returned home from, which often demanded they fire their weapons to kill as many in the shortest period of time.

Meanwhile, police departments should not hire anyone below a certain IQ. Because even as they hit hard to stem their violence, some who are as dumb as a door nail don’t seem to understand the relation between their actions and those of communities fed-up with their brutality.
