There are many signs, as China rises in power and prestige, that the Southern Hemisphere is revolting against the U.S. and European exploitative history of abusing resource-rich countries around the globe. In effect, Gaza is about reasserting the US global dominance in one of the richest resource regions in the world to keep China and Russia at bay. Although Gaza began as a local Israeli-Palestinian conflict like many before October 7, the U.S. saw it as an opportunity to convey a powerful message of what America is capable of doing if you don’t toe its line.

Whether countries see Gaza and recoil, or revolt even more, remains an open issue. But the fact that more and more countries are asking to join the BRICS+ new economic world order tells us that the latest U.S. tactics will not succeed. Furthermore, some smaller countries, like Burkina Faso and Niger, are revolting openly against European imperialism by nationalizing their mines.

The nationalisation of the mines by Ouagadougou is the latest in a wave of African governments attempting to exert greater control over their natural resources as military regimes come to power. FT by Harry Dempsey and Aanu Adeoye - August 27, 2024

They also cite the country of Niger, which also blocked France from mining its large deposits of Uranium.

There is no viable U.S. plan to attack Iran today that would give it a sure victory without harming its own economy.

IRAN IS STANDING IN THE WAY

The United States and Europe hesitated little to weaponize Ukraine for its war against Russia, which is part of the strategy to weaken its enemies, Russia and China, when they unite. However, on the table remains Iran and its rising influence and power in the Middle East, which the United States has yet to figure out how to defeat without shooting its own economy in the foot.

Iran is standing in the way, and as much as Israel is instigating the U.S. to attack it, the U.S. is patiently waiting for that moment when its own technological advances give it the edge. Not only, Iran could disrupt the global oil supplies using weapons the U.S. has no answers for, but it could also attack the U.S. bases in the region in a manner that no missile defense systems could stop.

There is no viable U.S. plan to attack Iran today that would give it a sure victory without harming its own economy. In fact, both Russia and China are waiting for that mistake to bounce on opportunities left to fend for themselves as the U.S. concentrates its naval forces on defending Israel, or attacking Iran.

Do not be surprised if, after Gaza, the U.S. opens new fronts in Burkina Faso and the Niger to teach them a lesson.

RECOGNIZING PALESTINE IS A SIGN OF REBELLION AGAINST THE US

What countries can do is rebel against this U.S. display of excessive and violent dominance by recognizing the State of Palestine. Neither Israel nor the U.S. can do anything about this gesture of rebellion.

To some countries, especially those who have recognized Palestine recently, the genocide in Gaza is the straw that broke the camel’s back. It is backfiring big time on Israel and the United States by actors unwilling to toss, conveniently, all international laws aside in support of genocidal maniacs, like Benjamin Netanyahu, and thugs like Itamar Ben-Gvir, and Bezalel Smotrich. But what could Norway, Ireland, and Spain do except condemn Israeli actions and support Palestinian statehood openly?

In brief, Gaza is about reasserting the US global dominance and a message to countries around the world that no one escapes US military violence. Do not be surprised if, after Gaza, the U.S. opens new fronts in Burkina Faso and the Niger to teach them a lesson. Between Gaza and Ukraine squeezing its military readiness and hardware supplies, the U.S. is not about to open new fronts simultaneously.
