For those who believe Israel can decimate Hamas just because it is destroying Gaza should rethink their assessment about the reality of wars. As Queen Rania of Jordan said it so eloquently back in October 2023, you can kill the Hamas fighters, but you will never be able to kill the idea of freedom from oppression. You can never kill one’s desire to live in dignity, self pride, and the will to protect one’s basic human rights. Because of Gaza, and thanks to Benjamin Netanyahu and his gang of ultra-extremists, Israel will never know peace again, and the Israeli people, still raging at the Hamas attack on October 7, will eventually come to the same conclusion.
To the chagrin of many terrorists in the Israeli government, who believe they have won in Gaza. Even if Israel occupies Gaza, and introduces stricter colonizing laws and rules against its people, the Israeli image as a western democracy has been damaged for good. The whole world today knows that Israel is a European colony terrorizing the Palestinians, just as the Dutch white Afrikaners terrorized South Africa.
For all intended purposes, Israel will always be perceived as a European colony, which stole the lands of the Palestinians, and not as a legitimate country the world could ever come to respect and trade with.
If it was not for the United States, Israelis would simply accept a one country solution that would coexist in peace with the Palestinians. It’s the United States greedy military industrial complex keeping the conflict alive to kick back more profits.
Gaza furthered the isolation of Israel, and we will know by the first quarter of 2024 how much its economy suffered as a result.
US COLONIZATION SUCCESS IS INCOMPARABLE TO ISRAEL’S FAILURE
When European settlers colonized the Americas by torching the culture and existence of the indigenous Indian population, the Indians had no country to stand by them, and no armies to defend them. They were totally alone in the wilderness. So, if Israel believes it can duplicate the U.S. colonization success, it needs to understand the different dynamics at play that is already guaranteeing its failure.
First concern for Israel is how fast news travel in the 21st Century, and who reads that information. Israel cannot hide its crimes from the world, like General Custer hid his 19th century crimes against the Indigenous people of North America.
Secondly, Israel chose a terrible neighborhood to steal its lands. Every surrounding country can boast ten of millions of Israeli haters, and millions more willing to bear arms, if given the opportunity, to fight the Zionist terrorists of Israel. Something we hope never happens.
Thirdly, every Muslim country considers Israel their number one enemy. That’s 2 billion people, which between 2015 and 2060 will grow by 70%, as compared to 32% growth by world population. Israel’s population are 7 million Jews, half of whom are peaceful before Netanyahu and his gangs hijacked Israel.
Does anyone want to bet on Israel’s side, long term?
Gaza furthered the isolation of Israel, and we will know by the first quarter of 2024 how much its economy suffered as a result. In the last quarter, Israel’s economy slumped by 19.4%.
So, no. Israeli colonization of Palestine is every bit as different as the colonization of North America by similar European settlers.
Israel, presently living to expect another October 7, will be far different from the one that existed on October 6.
GUNS VS. BUTTER
Macroeconomics tell us clearly that when a nation builds more guns than it can manufacture civilian goods, it will not prosper economically, nor socially; just as Vietnam and the Cold War put an economic damper on Lyndon B. Johnson’s Great Society programs.
Israel, presently existing to expect another October 7, will be far different from the one that existed on October 6. That military readiness will tax its citizens heavily, to a point that many will come to their senses when they realize peace with the Palestinians could be more prosperous for the Jewish people. But first, Israel has to clip the wings of the violent settler communities, and the terrorist Zionists who are in control today. It must obliterate the notion of a national identity based on expansion, and reverse the dehumanization process it indoctrinated its people against the Palestinians.
A tall order, indeed.
Otherwise, Israel will never know peace again, at a great expense to its future.
