President Joe Biden should read the old man and the sea where Santiago, after landing a big marlin, fights off the sharks to keep his prize from being devoured on his way back to shore. Should Joe Biden not fight as hard against the sharks in his own party after they began to devour the Build Back Better legislation? Should he not have had his knives and harpoons out to kill them off instead of negotiating to trim his marlin into oblivion thus giving the impression he is not a fighter? Americans do not like weak Presidents.
I believe part of the reason why Terry McAuliffe lost the Virginia elections is because voters did not see that fire in the belly of Joe Biden. Why would anyone vote for a party that cannot control its own? Or let their Senators run amok showing off how to use power in American politics? Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema played the White House because they knew Joe Biden is not a fighter. They knew his knives are dull and his harpoons are rusty.
He[Biden] is simply not fighting for us the way we want him to.
AGAINST TRUMP BUT NOT FOR BIDEN
Joe Biden won against the worst President in American history because over 81 million Americans were happy to vote Trump out of office; In doing so, we voted to replace Trump but not to install Joe Biden in the White House. Rightly so, Joe Biden is proving to be ill-equipped to manage his own party or Trumpism in general.
Biden is President because Americans refuted the Fuhrer Trump. Deep down though, many Americans, including myself, were apprehensive about President Biden because of his history as Vice-President. He never showed the gusto that we expect our leaders to show when under duress, or when they confronted hard decisions. Add to that his blunders and his goofiness, which do not inspire any confidence.
Less than one year into his presidency, Biden is out of favor with many of his voters because he is not managing the country up to our expectations. He is simply not fighting for us the way we want him to.
Watch Joy Reid of MSNBC in this video explain a similar point to her audience.
Even a judge presiding over insurrection cases is complaining about the Department of Justice complacency when it comes to charging the worst insurrectionists appropriately.
MERRICK GARLAND IS EVEN WEAKER
Attorney-general Merrick Garland reflects the White House timidity as we watch the DOJ just provide free passes to Trump and his acolytes.
Even a judge presiding over insurrection cases is complaining about the Department of Justice complacency when it comes to charging the worst insurrectionists appropriately.
Ja’han Jones of MSNBC writes:
Jones bases his opening paragraph on a quote from judge Beryl A. Howell herself who argued:
This is weakness in its purest of forms when Biden’s Department of Justice is too afraid of confronting the lowest hanging of fruits in one of the worst attempts at overthrowing the U.S. Government. This really sets the perfect example of just how weak the presidency of Joe Biden has become and how ill-equipped he is to protect us from danger.
Really, Joe Biden should read the old man and the sea. Maybe he would learn a lesson in how to protect the turf we trusted him to protect.
