The Democrats Are Breaking Our Democracy Too

From one episode of the Twilight Zone comes this breaking news. The Democrats are breaking our democracy too. How? By spending millions on pro-Trump election deniers primary candidates they are assuming they could defeat easily come this November. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in her eagerness to remain Speaker of the House, defended this action. Without any regrets, it did not occur to Speaker Pelosi that promoting election deniers is indirectly promoting Trump himself, which might sustain and even fuel the Big Lie. And all for what? To remain in power.

Honestly, as Americans, millions of us want to put that man and his sick ideology in our rear view mirror. Many of us wish his name would never be mentioned again except if attached to words like “indict” or “prison”.  What gives Pelosi and company the right to spend money to promote Trumpism just to score a win? Which incidentally might not happen.

But even if it does, at what costs to the democratic process for the peaceful transfer of power?

Did it occur to the DCCC that even if their candidates win against election deniers, these idiots will use the losses to start another round of fresh lies?

THE INSANE STRATEGY OF THE DCCC

Did it occur to the DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee), which has fostered this pro-Trump campaign, that some of Trump’s candidates might win? That elevating election deniers candidates, which Trump has endorsed, repeats his lies and might actually become more believable.

Is it not true what they say about lies. That if you repeat them long enough, people will come to believe those lies. So why are the Democrats breaking our democracy too by perpetuating the Big Lie? That alone stands as the biggest danger to our democracy.

Did it occur to the DCCC that even if their candidates win against election deniers, these idiots will use the losses to start another round of fresh lies? What will that do to our democracy when we give these people the platform to harm the single most important element of our democratic process expressed in the peaceful transfer of power?

How is that good for America? To perpetuate the lies and extend their shelf life? Can Nancy Pelosi explain this oxymoron she is experimenting with? If the Democrats lose the House, what do you think Kevin McCarthy would do? If anyone thinks he won’t use his gavel to promote denialism, they need to check themselves into Shutter Island. McCarthy has an open invitation to practice this witchcraft by the DCCC.

From every angle an American voter looks at what the Democrats are practicing, the optics really look horrifying. This is the time to bury Trumpism, and yet, those who fear it the most are the ones who are promoting it.

And for what? To try to hold on to some seats in the House every poll says the Democrats are about to lose.
