In Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, the GOP has two shameless racists as front-runners, one of whom might become the next President of the United States of America. Reflect on that reality for a moment if you want to see upheaval and injustice become part and parcel of the American experience. Today, all Americans are living in a phase we would like to call “Died and went to hell”. It’s that simple and that clear to those who value life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as equals in what is fast becoming an unequal and make believe society.
What is so disturbing about both front-runners is that their supporters and enablers do not see how wrong it is to back people who advocate for murderers killing black people. They don’t see the wrong in that. They don’t understand the extremely terrible consequences should any of them win the nomination and go on to win in 2024.
It’s a wake-up moment for the righteous Americans out there. Do you want to vote like a hillbilly, or do you want your country to stand tall at home and on the world stage? Because if you think Ron DeSantis is playing politics, and you ignore the evil in his heart, voter remorse, after he lands the coveted job, will be a day late and a dollar short.
The same hate that Trump and DeSantis harbor in their hearts started WWII in Europe.
RACISM LEADS TO FASCISM
Fascism, in pursuit of great powers, emboldens racism, which forms the basis for cheap labor. The more racist is a society, the more it can extract from its disadvantaged labor. It is the ugly reality of America’s legacy, a country built on the shoulders of slaves. It pays to be a racist.
Look back on the GOP presidential candidates. George Bush was not a racist, nor was his father. So, why are Republicans, today, eager to place one of two shameless racists in the White House? What happened since the legacy of the Bush presidencies for our country to make a turn for the worst? Is it about demographics? Or, is it about pure evil? That part, we are still trying to figure out.
Racism leads to fascism. Look no further than to the Nazi antisemitic sentiments to fully grasp the reality we find ourselves in. We start hating blacks, but we might end up hating ourselves for the slippery road we chose to take. What comes after blacks are brown people, Asian people, Jews, Catholics, and everyone on the periphery or in-between.
The same hate that Trump and DeSantis harbor in their hearts started WWII in Europe. It could very well start another civil war at home.
To the wiser among us, think before you vote in 2024.
