A war that beamed images and videos of real headless and limbless children, not the ones lied about on October 7, all of whom were killed by American bombs.
As evidence to the truthfulness of the title of this blog, U.S. spy agencies are watching in real time Hamas recruit up to 10,000 more militants since the ceasefire took effect one week ago. Even if that number could be halved due to its sources, there is no doubt that Hamas, with almost all of its tunnels still intact, can continue fighting Israel for years to come. But Israel, a country whose barometer of health Moody’s measures with its rating system, is unable to keep fighting for years.
If the number of new 10,000 recruits is true, that’s 1,500 new Hamas fighters every day. The West Bank is slowly heading Gaza’s way in terms of resistance to Israeli occupation and terror, and in terms of the violent response the war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu will most likely deploy.
Unlike Gaza, Hamas is not strong in the West Bank, but the continued attacks by the extremist settlers stealing Palestinian lands, and the Israeli Occupation Forces’ use of extreme violence is playing into Hamas hands. The Palestinian Authority, a Vichy-like institution that takes its orders from Israel, is about to melt away as Palestinians take up arms to defend against Israeli occupation.
In short, the West Bank is about to explode. But unlike Gaza, Israel can ill-afford to lose its Palestinian labor that sustains the Israeli economy. If the population of the West Bank starts fighting Israel, instead of working in Israel, the future for both looks murky and opaque. No telling what might happen if Israel continues to attack the Palestinians in the West Bank who refuse to let the settlers humiliate them and steal their lands and properties.
