The problems President Joe Biden is facing today are the results of five reasons.

COVID and its impact on the economy to include inflationary pressures and supply chain woes.
Joe Biden himself to include actionable and non-actionable behavior. Especially with regard to not prosecuting Donald Trump. Being nice is not helping him win votes.
The President has not paid particular attention to voting rights, which impacts his base directly.
Biden has alienated 45 million student debtors after making campaign promises to forgive student loans, which he has yet to fulfill.
The best democratic communicator is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez the Biden administration is ignoring to put her talents to serve the White House long-term goals of communicating its policies and impact on American lives.

I am certain that Attorney-General Merrick Garland would have been a great Supreme Court judge; but as AG of the United States, Garland has been missing in action. On a variety of topics that are infuriating the democrats.

For one, he is giving a free pass to the insurrectionists by indicting them mostly with misdemeanor charges that often result with a slap on the wrist. Even though these Trump supporters are as violent as they come and remain a threat to national security.

Furthermore, no one knows what Garland is up to when it comes to indicting Donald Trump for inciting an insurrection and for his coup against the U.S. Government. Does the secrecy indicate Trump is scot-free, or are we to expect for the hammer of the law to come down hard on the 45th traitor president?

No one knows; but given Garland’s reluctance to pursue a hardened position against the insurrectionists themselves, many who voted for Biden are disappointed with how little accountability this administration has been pursuing against those who deserve to be in prison rather than free to threaten the republic once again in the near future.

Grant you, Garland has indicted Steve “Little Goebbels” Bannon, however, this is based on the recommendation of Congress and not on his own pursuit of justice. Garland did not indict Bannon for backing a coup against the U.S. Government.

I truly believe that the day DOJ throws the book at Donald Trump for trying to overthrow a legitimate U.S. Government would also be the day Biden approval polls bump up few points.

Look at it this way. If Trump’s popularity is steady at about 32% of voters, this means that today up to 110 million voters are looking for either Biden to vote for or some other candidate in 2024. By not holding Trump accountable for his actions, Biden is alienating tens of millions of voters. One can say, he is alienating Trump’s unfavorable percentage of voters that stands at 33% today.

That’s over 52 million voters. Hey, Ron Klain, it’s simple math.

The COVID pandemic forced the US Government to give away free money in order to sustain economic growth by making sure that businesses, like the hospitality industry, remain afloat. It also helped individuals by giving away tax credits, unemployment money. halting student loan payments, and freezing all evictions.

The $1.9 trillion reconciliation bill passed shouldered the weight caused by COVID closures and unemployment. It was an imperative move for our economy not to falter and crash.

The amount of money the U.S. Government spent gave rise to inflation, which is causing Biden’s polling numbers to head lower. It’s a case of “damn if I do and damn if I don’t”. The choices Biden had was to ignore COVID and let the economy sink, or take a risk with distributing free money to stabilize the economy hoping it will not cause inflation.

Both issues are out of Biden’s control really. H had to save the economy and worry less about inflation later.

It’s not about freedom as the likes of Senator Ted Cruz claim. It’s about letting COVID ravage the population in order to build our immune system.

HERD IMMUNITY

Remember that President Biden inherited a country whose COVID policies were being hampered by his predecessor and his acolytes in Congress. The Republicans remain fixated on the principle of “herd immunity“. It is based on the notion that after a huge number of people die, the general population would gain some immunity from COVID.

Of course, the Republicans won’t tell you that but they will fight masks, COVID vaccinations, and any sensible policy to keep people alive in order to reach the “herd immunity” levels. If that causes millions to die, so what?

Biden’s apathy towards voting rights have become a concern to his base. Against the backdrop of some 35 States passing stricter laws that aim at keeping the black and brown people from voting, Biden delivered a speech.

Had Biden polled the issue, he would have discovered that millions of Americans were concerned about the white supremacists in the GOP trying to retain and keep power even though they don’t have the numbers to win in a true democracy.

The lack of attention the President has demonstrated towards the issue of voting rights is impacting his favorability ratings. Why he would do that is beyond anyone who pays attention to the White House and its policies.

From afar, it looks to me like Biden is incapable of multi-tasking. Or, maybe because he is too nice, he is letting the likes of Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema take too much of his time that otherwise he could apply towards protecting his base of voters.

The wealthy accumulate but the middle class spends.

On the campaign trail, then candidate Joe Biden promised to erase at least $10,000 of student loan debt affecting 45 million Americans. That’s more than 50% of the number of all his voters. So far, Biden has not refused to forgive any student loans on the basis of economic hardship. Even though he can, with a stroke of a pen, alleviate the burden of 45 million Americans who owe more than $1.8 Trillion in debt.

If Donald Trump can increase the wealth of the top 1% of Americans, through his 2017 tax cuts, by $2 trillion, Biden can certainly eliminate, in one swoop, all student debt.

Anyone who thinks 45 million students are not a force to reckon with is out of their minds; even if millions of students claim they don’t mind paying off their student debt without help from the U.S. Government.

Today, because of inflationary pressure, this window is closing fast. The last Biden wants now is more money circulating to boost the economy, which will only make inflation worse.

The wealthy accumulate but the middle class spends.

Biden has yet to show teeth in his fight against the evil percolating all around us.

THINK WHAT IS AOC DOING ON THE SIDELINE

The democratic message has been weak at best. It is not reaching the masses because, I believe, the old political order Biden was groomed under is not sustainable in today’s social media world. Neither Biden, nor Pelosi understand how to connect with the Millennials and the younger generations, which now represent the largest block of voters. Who does reach this block? Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez; yet, she sits on the sideline in Congress even though she is the best democratic communicator this country has witnessed in a long time.

This is one reason why Biden numbers are sinking. He is unable to communicate with the democratic base effectively.

In conclusion, Biden poll numbers are sinking partially because of Biden’s policies, as well because of the COVID chaos he inherited from the Fuhrer Trump himself.

Americans want their Presidents to be tough-minded, and not nice to the point where a rookie Senator runs circles around them. Biden has yet to show teeth in his fight against the evil percolating all around us. This is why Biden poll numbers are sinking.
