Yemen just fired a missile that landed, deliberately, in an open area near the central city of Lod inside Israel as a warning message to the Netanyahu’s government that the axis of resistance can reach deep inside the country. The government in Yemen had no intention of hitting anything but an open area because the missile’s importance was the message it carried, and not the impact of its payload. But why Israel is not getting the message that if it continues on its arc of terror, Iran and its proxies are able to cause much damage to Israel, its people, and its economy, is beyond the realm of logic.
We suspect that Benjamin Netanyahu has also lost his mind, just as Biden lost his.
After the destruction of Gaza, Netanyahu has turned his terror against the West Bank and Lebanon. While he may damage the West Bank the way he damaged Gaza, Lebanon is another story altogether. Israel cannot possibly defeat Hezbollah in 2024 when it could not defeat it back in 2006. Hezbollah of today is not the Hezbollah of yesteryear.
Furthermore, Israel cannot protect the south, the north, and the west of its borders simultaneously should also the Iranian proxies in Iraq unleash their missiles on Israel.
Even if it succeeds in containing the West Bank resistance, between Lebanon and Yemen, it is enough to cause permanent damage to a volatile country that is totally reliant on the United States, in every aspect, for survival.
If Trump wins, Biden, while still President until January 20, 2025, might yield to AIPAC and attack Iran to shackle Trump with a war he may not be able to win, or finish.
NETANYAHU’S DASHED HOPES
Benjamin Netanyahu is doing all he can to force Iran to make a mistake that would lead the United States to come to Israel’s rescue by attacking Iran directly. The problem is that Iran is too smart to fall for his machinations.
The latest large-scale Israeli attacks, deep inside Lebanon, are not producing the kind of Hezbollah retaliation that will get on the US radars. Especially not 8 weeks before the elections. All Netanyahu can do is continue bombing Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen in the hope he can catch Iran slumbering.
Even that war criminal may be realizing the futility of his actions. A missile landing in the middle of Israel is sure to cause enough panic among the Israelis to possibly move the needle with regard to support for Netanyahu’s reckless policies. Why Israel is not getting the message? We suspect for a few reasons, mainly that Netanyahu cannot stop his war machine to face justice, and because he wants to drag the idiot Biden into a direct war with Iran.
What might happen, after the elections, is another story. If Trump wins, Biden, while still President until January 20, 2025, might yield to AIPAC and attack Iran to shackle Trump with a war he may not be able to win, or finish. Or, he might, because of his deep hate for Muslims and Arabs, just support Israel in expanding its war on the West Bank in the hope Israel can finish off the Palestinian resistance, which is a pipe dream.
If Harris wins, however, Biden might just slip away into the sunset come November 6 because he does not want to burden Kamala and the Democrats with more wars, and more depletion of the U.S. treasury.
