French President Francois Macron, in an interview at the Élysée, reminded the world that a ceasefire in Gaza has become an urgent matter. For a world leader whose finger is on the pulse because of material intelligence, it would be best for Israel to heed his advice. For all intended purposes, there is a direct correlation between antisemitism and the killing of Palestinian women and children that the blind extremist government of Netanyahu has yet to fully grasp as it pursues the last Hamas fighter. In spite of realizing, it is hardening the next generation of Palestinians to fight its apartheid system.
The truth is that Israeli violence against the innocent is oxygenating antisemitism, and it is a losing battle for all Jews around the world to justifiably call for the eradication of antisemitism while the Israeli government is comfortable killing civilians. It is not going to happen. In fact, its increase since October 7 may become permanent.
Israel’s right to defend itself has turned into Israel’s right to kill innocent women and children. That’s how the world is perceiving the war in Gaza now. Whether correctly, or incorrectly, the images of children buried under rubble have this kind of lasting impact.
Antisemitism will not abet anytime soon. It is the result of Israel killing innocent civilians. That’s the bottom line.
BIDEN MUST STOP NETANYAHU
There are no redeeming values in a prime minister whose legal woes, corruption, and thirst for power is costing Israel far more than it ever could anticipate. Furthermore, there is no justification for killing civilians and for our President to stand on the sidelines watching the spilling of the blood of children. None whatsoever. It is inhumane, and it does not spell well for Biden’s future.
The fact that the world must deal with Hamas terror, something the majority of sane people agree with, is not synonymous with unleashing the rage of a demented prime minister on a people his hate for has never abated. After all, it was a Muslim sniper who killed his brother in the Entebbe raid.
Netanyahu’s blindness unleashed the antisemitism turbulence we all are witnessing today. In addition, it was Netanyahu who unleashed the Israeli settlers, which in turn provided Hamas the impetus or the justification to launch its attack on Israel. Cause and effect in one short sentence. Yet, the media speaks of Israel defending itself, but never of Palestinians defending their lands from the terror of Israeli settlers. That’s the part our dear president ignores totally. Why? Because his U.S. Israeli foreign policy is in lockstep with the fanatic settlers. If he had any vision of peace for the region, he would have stepped up to fuel it from day one in office.
Now, Biden has to deal with the consequences of both ignoring the death of Palestinian civilians with American-made weapons and also ignoring the more acceptable concept of peace based on a two-state solution. Without pushing for it, a new Arab-Israeli war is just around the corner.
Antisemitism will not abet anytime soon. It is the result of Israel killing innocent civilians. That’s the bottom line.
