The shocking revelations regarding how unhinged Donald Trump has been as President, especially in the aftermath of losing the elections in 2020, has reached most Americans and the world. Cassidy Hutchinson gave us a glimpse of Trump’s illegal and deranged behavior, which is shining a bright spotlight on the Department of Justice in ways that it has become unacceptable to the majority of Americans simply to let Trump off the hook. After Hutchinson’s damning testimony, Merrick Garland has but one option, which is to prosecute the former President for criminal and seditious activities. The time has come to tell the DOJ: Now do your job Merrick Garland. The time has come to throw Donald Trump in prison.
Where shall we start? Shall we open the dossier about the fact that Trump rallied violent and well-armed militia to storm The Capitol? Or, at saying that Mike Pence deserves to be hanged for respecting the Constitution? After hearing Hutchinson’s testimony, how could any patriotic American accept the con artist and Fuhrer par excellence Donald Trump is beyond words.
The June 28 testimony has forced us all to make a choice between one insane cult leader and the country. And anyone choosing Trump over their own country is a traitor. This is how one must filter all the facts to come to the same challenging conclusion; unless we are just mules to serve the narcissism of a con, and despicable, man.
Without the checks and balances of our independent and powerful institutions, Donald Trump would have reincarnated Adolf Hitler, lock, stock, and barrel, in the USA.
TRUMP ENCOURAGING VIOLENCE
People who have lived under a dictatorship understand fully the motives of wannabees dictators. It is never about but their own self-interests at the full and direct expense of people and country. So, the news that Trump encouraged the violence on January 6 comes as no surprise to our lots. But, it is shocking nonetheless because no one would believe or accept that our rule of law and our democratic institutions could be so vulnerable to the whims of a sick and violent psycho.
The fact that Trump encouraged the violence and wanted to lead his well-armed mob into The Capitol is testimony not only to his treachery, but to his violent nature as well.
To wit, think back to the day Trump asked Americans to stock up on Clorox for no other reason but to inject themselves with it as a cure for COVID. Think back too to the day he asked former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper to shoot peaceful protesters outside the White House. Furthermore, just think how he wanted his domestic terrorists to hang his own VP.
There is a good reason we call him the Fuhrer on this Blog. Without the checks and balances of our independent and powerful institutions, Donald Trump would have reincarnated Adolf Hitler, lock, stock, and barrel, in the USA.
It is high time we hold this pile of trash accountable for the many crimes he has committed. It is high time for Merrick Garland to do his job.
What kind of a country would we become if we fail to prosecute all those who tried to blow up the peaceful transition of power,
GO AFTER THE REPUBLICANS FOR AIDING AND ABETTING
Soon to come are testimonies, one would imagine, to put some spotlight on the Republicans in Congress who, behind the scenes, aided and abetted Trump to carry out his coup against their own government. How is that for a resume entry for most of those traitors? Likewise, if the Department of Justice does not move forcefully to indict those bastards, we might as well stab democracy in the heart ourselves.
No American should give a hoot that Trump or his acolytes in Congress served in government and therefore are exempt from any liability. What kind of a society would we become if we applied the law so selectively and so narrowly as to make the American public lose all faith in their own government?
What kind of a country would we become if we fail to prosecute all those who tried to blow up the peaceful transition of power, which would have led us down an irreversible pathway towards fascism? Especially, considering the reprehensible personae of Donald Trump.
Should we not erect the statues of the insurrectionist leaders in Washington in the newly voted for Field of Shame?
FIELD OF SHAME
Now do your job Merrick Garland, or resign your post. Hiding behind the idea that the DOJ cannot prosecute a former president, even if he tried to violently overthrow an elected U.S. President, is infantile at best. Imagine the doors it opens to all the Trumpists who still threaten our democracy.
On this issue, history will not be kind to wimps, appeasers, cowards or even fence sitters when it comes to Republicans putting their own jobs ahead of the country. Their fear from Trump’s ire will be a source of immense shame once all the truth comes out, which is bound to happen.
Should we not erect the statues of the insurrectionist leaders in Washington in the newly voted for Field of Shame? Let all Americans read their names for centuries to come.
