Witness White Supremacists Whitewashing History. Again.

We are living today the irrefutable proof of how white supremacists react when their history of dispensing lies and falsehood is under attack. Witness white supremacists whitewashing history today when it comes to their acts of terror against their own government on January 6. Witness it, as well, when it comes to totally diluting the history of black slavery to suit their needs, and when they spread propaganda and lies to make the horrible era of Donald Trump simply vanish without a trace even though they were behind it and they are the ones today who continue to empower the weakening of our democracy.

History is theirs to write to suit their goals, and damned is the truth behind their acts of violence against so many over hundreds of years.

But unlike past years, their domestic terrorism of January 6 has broken the camel’s back. Many Americans feel compelled to call them for their violence and cowardice, which is also impacting the re-writing of black history to reflect what really happened, and not what the terrorist white supremacists want us to think happened.

The white supremacists are busy trying to re-write history on so many fronts simultaneously that it is becoming difficult for the American voter not to see the horrifying pattern.

LET US TALK BLACK HISTORY

Where do I start here? Shall I start with the 14 Congressmen who refused to pass the Juneteenth national holiday legislation? Or shall I write about how the despicable and racist Mitch McConnell is trying to tie the For The People Act modifications that Senator Joe Manchin is proposing to Stacey Abrams because she is black? Maybe, we could discuss the GOP efforts to suppress the minorities in this country from voting through legislations across 44 states aimed at keeping them home on election day. How about the attempt to whitewash white racists terrorism against blacks in this country by insuring that the Critical Race Theory remains buried?

Take you pick. From just a small selection of whitewashing American history during the modern times we are living today.

The white supremacists are busy trying to re-write history on so many fronts simultaneously that it is becoming difficult for the American voter not to see the horrifying pattern. How could anyone forget the GOP Senators vote against investigating their support and possible participation in the domestic terrorism of 1/6?

On a singular basis, these old white men may succeed as they have in the past. But when they are attacking so many laws and whitewashing so many others all at the same time, the weight of their action is not hard to discern; even by those who watch more sports on TV than read the news. The signs are everywhere and they are coming from every angle to suppress the real history of this country.

If we are able to write the history of Adolph Hitler accurately, we should be able to write the history of white supremacy and its impact on systemic racism in this country as truthfully.

SLOW DEATH COMING

And I have not even touched on the history of the indigenous Indians, which whitewashing it is as despicable as any.

When evil men cannot face the truth, their redemption is a distant wish. They will act with violence again and again when they know they can write their own history.

If we are able to write the history of Adolph Hitler accurately, we should be able to write the history of white supremacy and its impact on systemic racism in this country as truthfully. If Hitler did not get a free pass, we should not offer Trump and today’s racist and violent lawmakers a free pass either.

They are one and the same with one exception. Hitler murdered using horrific weapons in a short period of time. The white supremacists in America are murdering using conventional methods over hundreds of years. Hitler is done killing, but the white supremacists continue to kill. In slow and deliberate fashion.

January 6 could have been much worse.

The truth is not negotiable. We must not allow the racists and the bigots to steer our nation astray by denying a large portion of its citizens the redemption they deserve in the form of accurate historical facts.

If we allow the white supremacists to get away with selling us their lies, it is highly probable they will continue to use violence as a means to impose their will on the rest of the country. Calling them out is the duty of every American because today they are spreading lies about black history, tomorrow they might spread lies about other groups. To include religious groups from within their own ranks.

For over four hundred years, American history has been the subject of the white supremacists attack on the authenticity and the accuracy of unfolding events. To allow them to continue means that we could never find the balance in our nation to continue to prosper. No one group, in a nation, should have all the powers to write its history. Such permanency of power is bound to cause more divisions, which will define the beginning of our end as a powerful nation.
